With all the different variables in pulling together a development deal there always seems to be one standout element that is particularly problematic. From late 2008 – 2011 funding projects was the big problem but as new lenders entered the market (particularly for London and the South East) developers were able to raise money for their projects and with interest rates at record lows the cost of funds wasn’t too bad.
